Ronald Wayne Blackstock

Ronald Wayne Blackstock died Sunday, July 24, 2022, in Show Low, Arizona at the home of his daughter from natural causes. He was 68 years old. Ronnie was born on December 16, 1953, in Prosser, Benton County, Washington to his parents, the late John Lester and Phyllis Maxine ((Atkinson) Blackstock. 

Just like the tattoo on his chest says, Ronnie was "Born to Raise Hell"! He did just that; probably better than anyone else ever could. As a young man, he was the proverbial party animal and gave his parents a few of their gray hairs. Throughout his life, Ronnie worked in various occupations but being an over-the-road truck driver was what he enjoyed the most and didn't mind telling you that he was an "Ozzy Osbourne loving trucker."

Life became a little bit more serious when Ronnie became a father. He turned from the folly of his youth and began a new chapter in "The Life of Ron." He pulled himself together and successfully emerged from rehab, with the promise of being a better man than when he first entered it. His daughter was proud of the steps he made in bettering himself. It allowed for necessary healing and relationship building. He loved his kids and when his grandchildren were born, the unconditional love he felt for his family was only magnified. He will be missed and will "forever be in our hearts."

Ronnie is survived by his 2 children: Rebecca (William) Mauff of Show Low, Arizona, John Blackstock; 2 grandchildren: A.J. (Kaisey) Brown and Cherie Brown all of Show Low, Arizona; 2 sisters: Brenda (Roger) Raff of Georgia and Pam (Dan) Makowski of KY. Along with his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by a sister, Shari Hamilton.

Private family services will be held.
