Mary Ernestine Crews "Ernestine" died on January 20, 2022, at her home in Show Low, Arizona. She is survived by her husband Paul Edward Crews; son George Holt (Tami); daughters, Annette Hartman (David), Velda Stroup (John), Gaye Stone (Don); stepdaughters, Cherlye Crews, Janette Romero (Don Michael), Laura Brown; stepsons, Neal Crews (Theresa), Steven Crews (Amber) and Michael Crews; brothers and sister, Joe Harmon (Pat), Gloria Griffin and Robert Chavez; 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; her best friend of 76 years, Donella Jones. Ernestine was preceded in death by her sisters Thelma Wood, Marcia Peddie, Dora Atherton and brother Charles Harmon.

Ernestine was born in Bowie, Arizona, to Ernest and Euline Harmon on December 7, 1935. She grew up in Bowie and spent her adult life between Tucson and the White Mountains. Edward and Ernestine retired to Show Low, Arizona, in 2003. She spent her time researching ancestry, sewing, quilting and had quite the fashion sense. Nobody had a better memory of family events, births, and family history. Ernestine was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved and will be missed by many.
