I miss John terribly! You never expect the one you love to pass so quickly. I am thankful for the love and life we had together.
I have to include Johns career because it was what he lived for to help make the world a better place and he certainly did. Bravo John!
John was a friend and brother to many over the course of his life and career in the IBEW which spanned over 54 years as an active Brother. He started his apprenticeship in Local 447, El Centro, California, where he became an inside Journeyman Wireman. He also served as Chairman of the Executive Board as president for the local 447 which amalgamated into IBEW 569, San Diego. He was a JATC instructor as a trustee on the apprenticeship committee and then Business Agent in Imperial Valley. Upon retirement from IBEW Local 569, John and Teri moved to the White Mountains Arizona. In 2005 John was appointed as an Organizer for IBEW Local 518 Globe Arizona until his passing.
There is so much more to John’s life; all the friends he left behind in California and Arizona, all true lifelong friends, some passed and some still here. Most of his friends knew him as Juan Dawg in California, a nickname given to him from a son of his friends. It stuck with him all his life and he loved it.
RIP Juan Dawg!
