William LaBrake

William Andrews LaBrake passed away on October 22nd 2024 at his home in Mesa, Arizona, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 16, 1942 in Syracuse, New York, to parents, Leonard and Evelyn LaBrake. A devoted family, man William's love for his wife, Glenda, and his children, grandchildren, & Great-Grandchildren, was truly unconditional. Family meant everything to him. He had a deep faith in God, and considered himself a growing Christian.

William is survived by his wife of 41 years, Glenda LaBrake, of Mesa, Az.; his children: Jeffrey LaBrake, Jennifer (Scott) Brooks, Lynette (Kim) King, Rochelle (Carl) Fillipone; his grandchildren:Blossom LaBrake, Hunter LaBrake, Bryce Brooks, Dawson Brooks, Landon Brooks, Tori (Lynz) Schweiger, Wyatt Heap, Halston Heap, Garrett Heap,

Courtney (David) Wilson, and Kenny Fillipone; and his great-grandchildren: Carter Wilson, Cole Wilson, Caroline Wilson, Clark Green, Curtis Green, and Noralyn Green; and one brother, Phillip (Sally) LaBrake of Syracuse, New York.

William was preceded in death by his Father, Leonard; Mother, Evelyn; Brothers: Richard, David, Sydney, and Jeffrey LaBrake; Sisters: Evelyn Fisher, and Emily Campbell; and his Granddaughter, Aria Elaine Heap.

He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Cuban Missile Crisis, in Okinawa, and did security at the U.S Naval Air Base in San Diego during the Vietnam war.

He was a Salesman for Devoe paint traveling all over the Northeast. In Arizona, he worked for Pioneer paint where he sold to the Arizona State Prison in Florence, due to the high gas prices, in the 1970s, he decided to go to work at the prison in Florence. He retired from there after 24 years, in 2002.

The celebration of William's life will be held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024, beginning with a public viewing at 10 A.M at the Owens-Livingston Mortuary - Heritage Chapel at 84 East 19th, South in Snowflake, Arizona. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 A.M. A graveside service will follow the funeral service at R. V. "Mike" Ramsey, Memorial Cemetery. In his passing William Andrews LaBrake leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering Devotion to his family.
