Vernon Bentley

Vernon Oren Bentley, 95, passed away on October 30, 2023, with his family at his side.

Vernon, a Senior Systems Analyst, retired from Sperry Corporation, having received various awards from Sperry Corporation and Unisys. He was a private pilot, having graduated from the Federal Aviation Agency. He truly enjoyed flying.

He arrived in Phoenix, Arizona in 1972, and quickly settled in and remained an Arizonan.

for 51 years. He resided in Phoenix, spending as many summers as possible enjoying his home in Overgaard, Arizona, the home he built. For the past 20 years he has enjoyed vacations with his family at the ERA Airshow at Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, June Bentley; his two loving stepdaughters, Kelly and Kimberly; a daughter, Nancy; and a son, Mark.

He leaves here good friends, many of whom belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We thank those of our community of Overgaard for being here with us during this difficult period.
