Valarie Kim Banashley of Whiteriver, Arizona peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on March 16, 2021 at her home in Whiteriver. She was 62. She was born on October 24, 1958 in Whiteriver to her parents the late, Kenzie Manuel Sr. and Patricia Banashley.
Valarie was unique in herself. She never worried what others thought about her and she had a smile that could light up a room. She had a great sense of humor, was silly and beautiful inside and out. Valarie loved helping others and being a shoulder to cry on. She was very caring and trustworthy especially to her family and friends. Valarie was strong in her faith. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She would tell her children that while studying the scriptures, she loved the feeling of the spirit she would receive. Valarie loved to go to the Temple and loved how beautiful it was inside.
A very crafty person, Valarie loved to sew, crochet and do beadwork. She always got along with others and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children: Stewart Nicholas Jr. (Velcena), Christopher Nicholas, Morning Star Truax (Tyrell) and Shiloh Nicholas (Lynea); 16 grandchildren; siblings, Rowena Clay and Dallas Manuel as well as many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Suni Nicholas and a brother, Kenzie Manuel, Jr.
A viewing will be held 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 22, 2021 at Owens Livingston Mortuary – White Mountain Chapel in Show Low. Graveside services will follow at the Whiteriver Cemetery.
