Tyson Lee Klaproth passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 36. Born in Murray, Utah, Tyson lived the majority of his life in Arizona, both in Mesa and Taylor. He was the fourth child and second son of Steve and Angie (McLellan) Klaproth. He loved spending time with his brother Brent, sisters Cammie, Amber, and Tiffany as well as his 18 nieces and nephews, extended family, girlfriend Jimena, and friends. He could be found playing with them - basketball, guitar, riding in razors, teaching card tricks, and was a sought after roller coaster partner.
Tyson found a love for soccer in his high school years and who can forget him running down the field with his wild curly hair? No doubt that hairstyle and outgoing personality got him nominated for homecoming court. It came as no surprise that in recent years, Tyson could pull off looking so good so young in a full head of gray hair.
Tyson came by teasing naturally and we loved his fun loving nature. He had an incredible business mind; his electrical business succeeded through his hard work and professionalism. He was inquisitive and philosophical; loving to have deep & meaningful conversations. Tyson had an adventurous spirit; from skydiving to solo road trips. He loved music and performing on stage with the bands he played in through the years. He aspired to be a filmmaker and had several movie scripts started. Skills and talents included song writing, studio recording, playing the guitar with exceptional finger tapping skills, photography, and making us laugh with talking in his on point Scottish accent. Tyson had movie line quoting down such as “60% of the time it works every time,” (movie Anchorman), he was skilled at finding solutions, inventing, he was organized almost to a fault from birth, self-motivated and ambitious in his work and personal life. Tyson met challenges head on and found his way around obstacles; always wanting the result to be “win-win.” He loved to share insight he had gained from experience to help others through their challenges.
Tyson’s best loved traits included seeing the best potential in others, finding the humor in everything including odd situations, and seeing a need and fulfilling it without being asked. We all benefited from his acts of service both large and small. Always the comedian, he could carry on a dialogue for days based on Chuck Norris jokes. One of his favorites was, “When googling Chuck Norris the results say “We cannot find anything on Chuck Norris, when Chuck Norris wants to be found HE will find you!”
Tyson found happiness in serving others and girlfriend, Jimena, found herself on the receiving end of his kindness and generous nature. She lit up his life with purpose and joy.
Gone too soon, Tyson will be missed by his parents, Steve and Angie, brother Brent (Joanna, Crew, Kosten, Myka), sisters Cammie (Nate, Jeremiah, Brigham, Alison, Caden, Tanner, Sam, Luke), Amber (Leonard, Sicely, Dakota, Landen, Joseph, David, Daniel), brother-in-law Steven Carpenter (Kelly, Adaline, Braxton), and his girlfriend Jimena Escamilla. His best friend, partner in crime, and sister, Tiffany Carpenter, preceded him in death.
The funeral will begin 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 7, 2020, at the Love Lake Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 700 E Love Lake Road in Taylor, Arizona, where the visitation will begin 1 hour prior. The concluding service and interment will immediately follow at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor.
