Timothy Dale Cook, 41 of ShowLow was tragically taken from us on April 22, 2018. He was born to Henry Thomas Cook and Hollie Jo Cunningham on August 17, 1976. Tim was a very happy-go-lucky type of guy that got along with everyone. He had a very big heart and would give the shirt off his back, so to speak, if needed. When Tim was in high school he was a great soccer player. His team mates, among others, called him “The Leg”. He often spoke of his sports career in soccer and had such pride in his talent. Tim was employed with ADOT for 15 years and made many friends while employed there.
Tim was a family man and family meant the world to him. The most important thing to him was spending time with his family. One of the things he enjoyed was teaching his wife and daughters how to throw darts. He taught them so well, they began to beat him, which actually put a smile on his face. To see his girls take pride and learn so well from the sport he had taught them was a very humbling feeling for him.
Tim was at his happiest when we was riding his bike which was his pride and joy. He built his bike from the ground up. He rode that bike everywhere he went, as if it were his “car”. Tim enjoyed being in the outdoors the most. Besides his bike rides, he loved to grab his fishing pole and tackle, find a lake or stream, maybe even a pond and sit there fishing for hours. When the opportunity arose he would enjoy a hunting trip with his late father-in-law, whether he was the actual hunter or not. Tim had a love for music, if he wasn’t enjoying the outdoors, he was listening to music and when he heard a song that he wanted to have on his playlist he would stop in his tracks to quickly download it . He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Tim is survived by his wife of 17 years, Mary Dawn Cook of Show Low; daughters, Triniti Danielle Cook of Show Low, Triciamae Darlene Cook of Show Low and Tayler Dawn Brown (Davis) of Tempe; mother, Hollie Jo Cunningham (Ernest) of Snowflake; father, Henry Thomas Cook (Pamela) of Mounds, OK; brother, Thomas Dean Cook (Bekki) of Yuma; sister, Wendi Loree Nelson (Spike) of Pinetop; brother-in law, Paul Methvin of Litchfield Park, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, neices, nephews and great friends.
Tim was preceeded in death by his grandparents Billy Hackworth of Jenks, OK; Boyd Farar of Yuma; Joanne Farar of Yuma; John Henry Cook of Yuma; Frances Cook of Yuma; father-in-law, Paul Methvin; mother-in-law, Patricia Methvin; grandmother-in-law Marion Scarborough.
