Thomas Murray Welch, 73 years old passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Show Low, Arizona. He was born on April 9, 1949 to William and Ruby (Douds) Welch in Alliance, Stark County, Ohio. In 1954, Thomas moved to Arizona with his family. He attended school, graduating from North High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
Thomas worked in the construction business as a concrete mix truck driver for 20 years while living in Phoenix. He later moved to Show Low and worked as a truck driver for Khalil Bottling Company. Thomas loved to camp and be outdoors; he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and crossword solver. He has been a member of the Show Low Elks Lodge for 28 years and was know for having his special chair, anyone who knew Thomas knew to not sit in his seat.
Thomas is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Randy Schmitt of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Bradley (Deborah) Welch of Castle Rock, Colorado; granddaughters, Cayla (Tyler) Pugh of Phoenix, Arizona and Rayelin Schmitt of Phoenix, Arizona; his handsome new great-grandson, Grayson Pugh of Phoenix; numerous nieces and nephews as well as friends and buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and Jeffrey.
A Celebration of Remembrance will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 18th at the Show Low Elks Lodge #2090, 805 E. Whipple Road, Show Low, Arizona.
