It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle Thomas “Tom” Robinson who passed away on December 10, 2022 in Goodyear, Arizona. Tom was born on March 27, 1936 in Lafayette, Georgia to the late Clyde H. and Venice G. (Fallis) Robinson. Tom enlisted into the United States Navy and so began an honorable career that lasted 27 ½ years before his retirement and honorable discharge. While stationed in Sasebo, Japan Tom met Chizuko “Suzie” Nishiura, they fell in loved and were married on December 20, 1963. They had just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary before her passing in 2021. Upon Tom’s retirement in 1980 they moved to Holbrook, Arizona where they operated Tom and Suzie’s Diner. The diner was Suzie’s passion and with love Tom backed her dream. Tom began working for Navajo County as a Juvenile Supervisor before his second retirement after 16 ½ years. Tom being an avid sports fan loved to watch his favorite teams the Atlanta Braves and the Dallas Cowboys but nothing compared to his love of watching his grandson play baseball. He had a passion for deep sea fishing and did so whenever the opportunity came around. He was a very proud husband to Suzie and his heart never healed after her passing. Tom was also a wonderful father and grandfather and was well respected and loved by his family and everyone he met. He is survived by a son, Terry Robinson; daughters, Audrey (Scott) Badger and Sandra (Tony) Peterson as well as one grandson, Jonathan Robinson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Suzie; infant son, John William Robinson and a grandson, Nicholas Robinson. A public viewing will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the Owens Livingston Mortuary-Holbrook Chapel, 409 N 1st Ave, Holbrook.
