Steven K. Banashley, the son of the late Wayne Banashley and Patricia Banashley, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on October 12, 2023. He was born on September 4, 1988 and made Canyon Day his home.
He will be brought home on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 10:00 am, to his residence in Canyon Day, for a one-night wake. Home services will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Canyon Day Cemetery.
His survivors are his mother, Patricia Banashley; his lifetime partner, Elicia Zahgotah; and his two sons, Nehemiah and Urjiah; sister, Marci Jimson; maternal parents, Tamara Evans and Perry Shaw Stillman Sr. and his siblings, Perry Shaw Stillman Jr., Richard Evans Jr., and Zazu Evans.; aunts, Zazu, and Waynella Banashley. He also has many grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephew, nieces and friends, who he considered family.
Steven grew up in Canyon Day and spent his childhood down below in Whiteriver. He spent his days swimming, fishing and playing around with his cousins by the river. As he got older, he loved to ride his skateboard or BMX bike with his friends and learned to do tricks. He also rode his racing quad around Whiteriver and Canyon Day. Later on, he became a gamer who loved the challenge of online gaming.
H became a family man and loved his sons dearly. His girlfriend and his boys were his world. He spent many days taking them fishing, going to the movies, and teaching them to ride bikes. He eventually taught them the concept of online gaming, which they love to this day. He always made sure they had what they needed and did what they wanted to do.
