Stephen Norman, a gentle soul with a heart full of love, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on January 15, 1965, in Louisville, Kentucky, Stephen lived a life filled with joy, music, and connection.
Despite being nonverbal and living with cerebral palsy and severe autism, Stephen brought light and laughter to those around him. He found solace in the love and acceptance of the Hopi and Navajo Tribes of Arizona, where he cherished his extended family and shared his passion for Kachina Dances. Stephen's love of music was a constant source of joy, and he never met a mashed potato he didn't love. He is survived by his two fathers, Hilton Honyaoma and Don Norman (Carol); sister, Hyla Burleson (John); brother, Bryan Norman (Kristy); and nieces and nephews, Leila Gabrovec, Cassandra Cutshaw, Payton, and Nathan Norman.
Stephen will be laid to rest beside his mother Sandi Norman Honyaoma at Mike Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, Arizona, where his love and spirit will continue to be remembered. His family is grateful for the love and support he received from his communities and invites all who knew him to celebrate his life and spirit.
