In the late afternoon of May 14, 2022 at 4:19 P.M. our Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Brother, Cousin and Friend, Slim Quay, went home to be with our Lord. He was a reverend man, a Man of God and very Patriotic who loved and served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force. Slim served as a 2 term council man for District II (Carrizo, Forestdale and Cedar Creek) for the White Mountain Apache Tribe during the years of 1992-1996. He was also a minister for the East Fork New Harvest Church. He is survived by his daughters, Vonda Bonito (Marcus Sr.), Marjorie Romero, Valerie Burnette (Raymond) and Genevieve Lupe; sons, Mark Quay and Rupert White; sister, Via Kindelay; 29 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. Slim was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Quay; daughters, Jodie and Andrena Quay; son, Jerome Kasey Jr.; brother, Anderson Quay; sister, Nancy Quay and 6 grandchildren. His wake will begin 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 20, 2022, where he will have an escort from W. Sycamore and 1st North Ave back to his residence. We invite all horse back riders and Veterans to come and honor Slim. His military service and ceremony will be done with honor by Oliver/DeClay US Post 60 of Whiteriver. His funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the Canyon Day Assembly of God with Pastor Rencher Paxson Jr. of the New Harvest Church in East Fork. He will be laid to rest at the Chiefton Cemetery in North Fork.
