Shelia Hatch Hall passed away on January 1, 2025, in Taylor, Arizona, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 12, 1939, in Taylor, Arizona. She was the 11th child born to Willard Rudger (WR) and Gertrude (Gertie) Colbath Hatch. Sadly her twin brother died at birth which left her with six sisters and three brothers.
She loved riding on the tractor with her dad and learning to drive his big trucks. She learned what it meant to "work" on the farm, by planting, harvesting, and caring for the animals. Her siblings referred to her as the "spoiled baby sister". When she was inside, she helped her mom cook, sew, and sometimes not so willingly, clean. She became a wonderful cook, known for delicious homemade bread, chili beans, cakes, cookies, and pies. She loved to sew, and in later years could often be found tying quilts with her brother, CR.
On August 31, 1956 she married John LeRoy "Roy" Hall in Taylor, Arizona, and on May 14, 1992 they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They lived in Show Low for several years and later moved to Taylor. Shelia helped Roy in their different businesses, until they built Hall's Body Shop. She was a wife, homemaker, mother, and grandmother. At age 59 she became a realtor and excelled in every way.
Shelia was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings in the church, but her favorites were: Girl's Camp Leader, Relief Society President, and Organist for many years, along with many others.
She loved playing softball and participating in outdoor activities such as camping, boating, hunting, and riding ATVs. Shelia was known for giving unselfishly to her family and community. She served on different boards, and kept abreast of what was happening in Taylor. On June 30, 2018 she and Roy were inducted into the Taylor Town Hall of Fame. She loved Taylor.
Shelia is survived by her husband, Roy, and their four children: Craig (Evelyn) Hall, Randy Hall, Kelly Palmer (Rusty) and Clint (Sindy) Hall; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; all nine of her siblings and their spouses; as well as four grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 - 10:45 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Silver Creek Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 309 W. Willow, in Taylor, with the funeral to follow at 11:00. Interment will be in the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor.
