Sharon Jo Carmichael

Sharon Jo Carmichael (Sims). Born July 18, 1942. Died March 13, 2023. Wife to Larry J Carmichael for 63 years. Mother to Wes Carmichael, Robert Carmichael, and Daphne Adams. Grandmother to Brenda Taylor (James), Robert Carmichael II, Larry J. Carmichael, Jerry Carmichael (Janelle), Dallas Adams (Alie), Justin Adams (Vanessa) and Charles Jacob Carmichael. Great-Grandmother to Steven Taylor, Jamie Taylor, Jason Taylor, Aaliyah Adams, Dallice Adams, and Mason Adams.

Preceded in death by sons-in-law: Floyd Adams, AC Neal, and Robert Wood, as well as great-grandson, Robert L. Carmichael III.

She loved working with children, playing the role of mother from a young age to her own 10 siblings, raising her own three children, and then four of her grandchildren. A regular lover of pets, having adopted and rescued dozens over the years. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and pets were the highlight and joy of her life.

Favorite hobbies included reading several books each week and family road trips. She was always looking for another great book and an adventure to take. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
