Sandra Lynn Lemons Webb

November 22, 1944 — January 26, 2019

Sandra Lynn Lemons Webb dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother left her earthly home for her heavenly home on January 26, 2019.  She was born on November 22, 1944, to Lynn Lester and Gladys Lemons in Phoenix Arizona.

She is the oldest girl of 4 children and grew up in Phoenix with her sister (Janice Fletcher) and older brothers (Leland and Larry Land) and attended North Phoenix high school. After high school, she went on to school to become a dental assistant. On June 3, 1966, she married her forever sweetheart, Darwin G. Webb (PeeWee), In the Mesa Arizona LDS temple. After Darwin's military service, they soon became full-time residents of the White Mountains and together they raised 6 beautiful daughters.  Sandy was an accomplished pianist and organist from an early age. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she played for almost every ward she was in. She also taught piano for many years from her home while her children were young. As the mother of 6 busy daughters, she was always an avid fan of their activities as they grew. She loved playing softball herself, and you always knew when Sandy was in the stands supporting them especially during softball and basketball season!

Sandy worked for the Blue Ridge School District for over 32 years. She started as their first ever crossing guard and retired from her district office position in 2014. Everyone knew her and she knew them. For the past 3 years since retirement, she served with her husband as a worker in the Snowflake LDS temple where she made many good friends that will miss her dearly. Sandy loved camping with her family, especially in the Yuma sand dunes. Many wonderful times were spent under the stars of the mountain pines or kicking up sand in their bright yellow sand buggy. Better yet were the moments spent in the backyard of their home playing, laughing, eating and talking together as a family.

Sandy leaves a legacy of love, service, and laughter to her posterity. She looked like a tough cookie on the outside but was soft and loving on the inside. All wrapped up with a sharp sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Darwin, and their 6 daughters; RaeLynn (David) Sargent, AnnMarie (Ron) Fett, Jessie (Nate) Nichols, Sarah (Clay) Bowen, Holly (Chris) Garrido, Chanell (Skyler) Godfrey; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Jace Darwin Roeder.  We know he was waiting eagerly to be the first to hug her.

Words alone cannot express how much our hearts will truly miss her in our lives. No one can ever take her place, and we cherish every memory we’ve ever made with her. We know we will be with her again someday and patiently wait for that reunion.  We love you Mom!
