Sandra Sue Reed died on Friday, December 3, 2021, in Show Low, Arizona from complications of Covid. She was 68 yeas old. Sandra was born on a Sunday, August 2, 1953, in Los Angeles, California to her parents, the late Richard Kilgore and Lelia Katherine (Large) Combs.
While in grade school, she moved to Arizona. Sandra was a graduated member of Yuma High School's Class of '72. She went on to attend college at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona where she received her Bachelor's Degree. Some might dub her as "a professional student" she strongly believed that knowledge was power. Most recently, she was enrolled in online classes through the University of Phoenix.
From 2005 to 2015, Sandra worked as a County Felony Probation Officer. Then, in 2015, she began to work as an orthopedic scheduler at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low. She enjoyed her work and loved working with others and made friends wherever she was. She was an excellent mother to her boys and taught them to love one another and show respect to others. Through her example, she taught them the importance of working by "the sweat of their own brow." A God fearing woman, her faith was very important in her life. She loved her family and taught them the importance of forgiving one another.
She loved her music of the 80s especially, Laura Brannigan, Kenny G and Yanni. It brought her comfort and great joy throughout her life.
Sandra is survived by her 2 sons: Brian (Lacy) Reed of Wolverine, Michigan, Aaron Reed of East Jordan, Michigan; sister, Helene Burch of Eloy, Arizona; brother, David Combs of Yuma, Arizona; 5 grandchildren: Joshua Reed, Destenie Bunker, Chayton Reed, Emmaleeyah Reed and Xzayvrear Reed.
The visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 3, 2022, at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona. The graveside service and interment will begin 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Desert Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1415 S. 1st Avenue in Yuma, Arizona.
