Sally Ann Jackson passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2022, with her family at her bedside. She was 71 years old. Sally was born on a Thursday, October 19, 1950, in Snowflake, Arizona to her parents, the late Herbert and Arah Elizabeth (Daniels) Russ.
Sally was married to her loving husband, L.T. Jackson, Jr. for 54 years. Their union was a happy one and, together, they raised a beautiful family. She was an amazing homemaker for her family and was always grateful to L.T. for working so hard outside of the home so she could take care of her family inside of the home. She relished the titles of being called his "wife" and her children's "mother." Through her example of hard work, clean living and kindness, her children were taught well and learned to follow in her footsteps. She lived in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona throughout her 7 decades of life.
Sally was blessed with many artistic talents and skills. She shared those talents with many hundreds of people over the years. She loved to sew and make quilts for everyone. Most of her family has a special quilt made by her own hands. She also was a gifted oil painter and sketching artist and could use pencils or pen and ink to make beautiful masterpieces. When it came to gardening, her yard was always so beautiful, especially during the spring, summer and fall months, as she knew which flowers to plant for the different seasons. Anyone who's ever seen her yard always commented on just how lovely it was.
Sally was blessed with a large family. Her sweet husband was the true love of her life and her faithful companion. Her sisters where her first friends in this life and they remained close throughout her life. Her children were her pride and her joy. When her grandchildren were born, that pride and joy was simply magnified. Oh how she loved each member of her family and they, in turn, loved her right back. Her cup truly runneth over.
Sally is survived by her husband, L.T. Jackson, Jr.; her children: Amy Harrison, Travis Jackson and Robert Jackson; her brothers and sisters: Alice Simpson, Sue Baird, Patsy Wren, Robert Russ, Daniel Russ, Mary Neff, Jim Neff, Peggy Padilla, Deborah Mills and Shannon Baird; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. They will all miss her tremendously.
The open casket visitation and viewing will be from 12 Noon to 1:30 P.M., Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona.
