Roy Edward Duggan

Roy Edward Duggan passed away on April 1, 2019 at his home in Concho, Arizona. He was born on July 22, 1948 in Newberg, Oregon to his parents Ed and Dorothy Duggan.

Roy was a machinist and mechanic. He graduated from McKinleyville High School in 1966 and served for 2 years in the United States Navy. Afterward he spent many more years in the Naval Reserve. In 1980 he moved his family to Mesa, AZ where he continued his career through many and varied interests.

Roy married Mary Christine McAllister (Mikki) on June 26, 1968. They had been high school sweethearts and together had 2 daughters. Their lives began in Northern California, moving to Mesa, AZ in 1980. In 1994 they migrated again to the Concho Valley in AZ to "homestead". Fiercely independent, Roy had forged a life to his liking. Helping friends with various mechanical needs, he has also been a help for those pioneering their off-grid lives. For the last several years he had been tending and servicing and rebuilding generators for ranchers and businesses throughout the White Mountains.

Roy is going to be missed by all who knew him. His wealth of knowledge, know how and compassion; rarities in today's time; will be difficult to replace. If you needed it, and Roy knew and could do something about it, it would be done. My family's loss is going to be felt by all who had the privilege of calling him friend.

He is survived by his wife, Mikki Duggan; daughters, Erin Shaw (Brandon Shaw), and Heidi Moore; and Grandson's Corey Walkinshaw and Xander Walkinshaw. He was preceded in death by his parents.
