Rosalie Janet Fischer

The family of Rosalie Janet (Cheney) Fischer of Holbrook, Arizona is saddened to announce her passing at the age of 68 years. She was called to heaven on May 26, 2023.

Rosalie was born in Winslow, Arizona in 1955 to Robert and Rachel Cheney. She graduated from Holbrook High School in 1973. Rosalie experienced different cultures with her family while traveling to and living in various states as well as living in Germany and Belgium. She married the love of her life, Don, in November 1996. Don and Rosalie enjoyed many adventures as simple as watching a movie together, going to the casino, or as exciting as flying to Hawaii for an island getaway. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and was known by many names. 

She is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Sharette (Jeremy) Kitzhaber, of Boise, ID, Michael (Or’Nail) Fischer of Phoenix, AZ, Roxanne Drye of St Johns, AZ, Donald Jr of Holbrook, AZ, Trista Fischer of Tempe, AZ; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters; as well as numerous other family members and friends. 

Rosalie was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Rachel Cheney; father-in-law, Howard Fischer; brothers Richard and Robert Cheney Jr.; daughter Kayla Fischer; and son-in-law Richard Drye.

A Rosary and Mass will be held on June 10th at 10am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 225 E. Arizona St, Holbrook, Arizona. The burial will take place following the Mass at the Holbrook Cemetery with a Celebration of Life at the OLGC Family Center, 210 E. Arizona St, Holbrook, Arizona. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to the Appendix Cancer Pseudomyxoma Peritonei Research Foundation or Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Holbrook, Arizona.
