Ronald Gene Braswell

March 7, 1950 — December 16, 2020

Ronald (Ronnie) Gene Braswell, of Show Low, AZ, passed away December 16, 2020 from complications of Covid Pneumonia. He was loving and devoted to his wife, Sandi, and son, Hunter.

Ronnie was born in Ft. Worth, TX on March 7, 1950, and graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School. He nurtured a love of horses and the western lifestyle from a young age and after moving from Texas pursued his dream of training and working with horses. He attended Laramie Community College, receiving a degree in Horse Management and later worked at horse facilities in Colorado and Arizona. He later obtained his Real Estate Broker's License and established his own property management business. Pinetop Property Management LLC, in Lakeside, AZ.

While working construction in Las Vegas, he met the love of his life, Sandi, while attending the National Finals Rodeo. They were married in Sandi's hometown of Show Low in the fall of 1991. They continued attending the NFR each year until 2019 and were scheduled to attend this year when Ronnie became ill. They were best friends and did everything together, never spending more than a few nights apart during their 29 years of marriage. 

Ronnie and Sandi welcomed Hunter into their lives in 2001. Ronnie was so proud to be Hunter's Dad and was totally devoted to making sure he grew to be the best young man he could be. Together, Ronnie, Sandi, and Hunter shared a love of the outdoors and rodeo and rode their horses and hiked throughout the White Mountains and surrounding areas.

Ronnie was preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Lois June Braswell; sister, Brenda Braswell Gordoa, Father and Mother-in-law and Brother-in-law, Larry, Barbara and Wes Whipple.

In addition to wife, Sandi, and son, Hunter, he is survived by brothers, Jimmie Braswell, Dana Braswell (Sandra); sisters, Charlotte Johnson (Tommy), Sherry Braswell, Pamela Yamane (Rodney) and Brother-in-law, Brad E. Whipple, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 P.M.  at Owens Livingston Mortuary, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, at 10:00 A.M. at the Show Low Cemetery.
