Ronald Paul Wasson passed away peacefully on June 28, 2023. He was born in McNary on December 17, 1946, to Paul and Ruthe Wasson.
Ron was the first of 3 boys. He lived in Snowflake throughout his childhood and graduated from Snowflake High School. He then attended Northern Arizona University, where he graduated with a master’s in education. He moved back to Snowflake to begin what would be a 40-plus year teaching career. It was teaching in Snowflake where he met his wife, Roberta “Bobbi” Wasson. They married in 1974 and moved to Showlow to teach at the new high school. Together they had 3 children.
“Ron, Ronnie, Mr. Wasson, Coach, Friend, Dad, Grandpa”, spent his life not only dedicated to his family and friends but to teaching, coaching, leading, and bettering the lives of his students and the youth in the area. After retiring he still found ways to be involved, whether coaching or watching sports, or the activities of his family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents; siblings, Reed and Wes; wife, Bobbi; and daughter, Pamela.
He leaves behind his children, Paula and her husband Casey Williams and Stephen Wasson; and his “favorite girl”, his granddaughter, Kinsey Williams.
