Robert Lacapa

Robert Clinton Lacapa, better known as Bob, went to be with his Lord on December 7, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 69. Bob's life began November 15, 1954 in Phoenix, Arizona.

As a young adult, he began his career as a wild land firefighter with the Fort Apache Agency of Whiteriver, Arizona. He went on to receive his Bachelors in Forestry from Northern Arizona University. Since, he has held many titles in Fire Management, to Forest Manager, to Superintendent with the Bureau of Indian Affairs before retiring in 2016.

Bob loved his career but always made quality time for his children and grandchildren, traveling to support their royalty and sport endeavors. All his married life, he cared for and deeply loved his wife's family. In return, they loved and cared for him. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His departure leaves a great void.

Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lela Mae Lacapa; children, Felicia and husband JJ Morris, Lindsey Lacapa, and Bryant Lacapa; grandchildren Latina Ethelbah, Zeke Ethelbah, and Jade Ethelbah; brothers, Andrew Lacapa, Duane Lacapa, and Bennett Lacapa; sisters, Andrea (Roman) Benavente, and Stephanie (Albert) Burnette.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Antonia (Kessay) Lacapa; brothers, Michael Lacapa and Nathan Lacapa.

There will be a one night wake and funeral held in his honor at the Canyon Day Assembly of God Church, set to begin Friday, December 15 at 2:00 pm and funeral, Saturday, December 16 at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow at the Canyon Day Cemetery.
