Rita Arlene Ghramm of Concho Arizona, passed away on April 14, 2019 at her home in Concho. She was 67. Rita was born on August 05, 1951 in Fall River, Kansas to her parents the late, Clyde and Melba (Burt) Ghramm. Rita was their second child, born at Grandma and Grandpa Burt’s home, where Grandma Burt assisted the doctor in the delivery.
From a very young age, Rita considered herself more of a “Tom Boy”, than a delicate little girl. Rita played catcher for a woman’s fast-pitch softball team; she was quite competitive. Her competitive nature left her unafraid to “take on anyone in a one-on-one game of basketball. When not on the diamond or court, Rita could be found dove or quail hunting with her father and brother, Ralph; who admits, “Years ago, she was a better shot than me!” As time went by, Rita began to notice “boys”
In the late 60’s and early 70’s Rita went to cosmetology school and became a beautician; she faithfully cut and styled all the families hair for many years. She also became a proud business owner. In 1977, Rita gave birth to a beautiful boy, Kenneth “KC” Christopher Ghramm. KC became the love and center of her life.
Rita was preceded in death by her loving father, Christopher Clyde Ghramm (February, 2009); loving mother, Melba Jean Ghramm (May, 2009) and her beloved nephew, Aron M. Ghramm (September, 2004).
Rita is survived by her sister, Vickie (Curt) Fishel; brother, Ralph (Kim) Ghramm; son, KC Ghramm; granddaughter, Hailee Ghramm; niece, Correna Kessler; nephews, Chad Alexander, Clinton Fishel, Timothy Rogers, Wayne Rogers, and very close and dear friends, Bobbie and Buddy Burnett
