Richard James Barry, Jr.

Richard James Barry, Jr., died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at his home in Lakeside, Arizona. He was 50 years old. Richard was born on Tuesday, June 22, 1971, in Queens, New York to his parents, MaryJane (Desso) and Richard James Barry, Sr.

He went to Show Low High School. In his youth, he developed a passion for music and especially liked rock and roll. Van Halen was one of his favorite groups. It was his affinity of music that helped him "open his eyes" to life. He had the heart of a cowboy and enjoyed riding horses. He had the opportunity to work on a couple of large ranches in the White Mountain area including the Marvin Reidhead Ranch and Marlo Thomas Ranch. He knew what it meant to "work by the sweat of his brow" and was a hard worker.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his mother, MaryJane Barry; his father, Richard Barry, Sr.; 2 sisters: Karen Laakman, Debbie Reidhead; nieces and nephews: Jessica Downes, Kim Downes, Jennifer Reidhead, Matthew Reidhead, Stefanie Laakman, Lucas Mickle; 9 grandnieces and nephews; 2 great-grandnieces and 1 great-grandnephew.

A Memorial Celebration will beheld on September 11, 2021.
