Rev. Samuel S. White, 95, of Show Low, Arizona was born on May 22, 1922. He passed into his eternal Home on April 12, 2018. This was a truly great and generous man who touched the lives of thousands of people. He was a loving husband, a wonderful father and an amazing grandfather. He was known as “Grandpa” or “Papa” by most and loved by all. He was a World War II veteran. Reverend White was a founding pastor of the Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle in Bellflower, California, which he lovingly pastored for 42 years; making an impact on so many lives. He was a man of honor and integrity. His ministry scanned 70 years. He continued to preach the gospel well into his 90s. Words fail to describe how much you will be missed, Papa! You have left a huge empty spot in our hearts. We love you so much! He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy White; sisters: Florence, Helen and Edith; and brothers: Hollis, Herald and Loyd. He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Lillian (Diamond Lil); grandson, Thomas; great-grandchildren:Tyson, Tess, Taylor and Trey; and his great-great-grandchildren: Haily, Lily, Daxton, Silas and Anna(nystee).The public visitation and viewing will be from 12 Noon - 1:00 P.M., Friday, April 20, 2018, at the Christ Temple Church, 19444 N. 35th Avenue in Glendale, Arizona. The funeral service will begin promptly at 1:00 P.M., immediately following the viewing, at the church. The concluding service and interment will take place as a private family service.
