Rebecca Gallegos

February 12, 1951 — January 6, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rebecca Ann Gallegos, beloved sister, aunt, cherished friend, and dedicated educator, who left us peacefully on January 6, 2025. Born on February 12, 1951, in Holbrook, Arizona, Rebecca was a vibrant spirit whose life was a celebration of love, laughter, and generosity.

Rebecca dedicated her life to education as a teacher and administrator, touching the lives of countless students, many of whom kept in touch with her long after graduating. Her passion for teaching was only matched by her commitment to nurturing those around her, making her the rock of her family. Whether hosting spirited themed parties, cooking delightful meals, or crafting blankets for the Linus Project, she approached life with a selfless heart and a joyous spirit.

A true lover of life, Rebecca found joy in every occasion, always ready to celebrate with those she loved. Her home was a haven where no one ever left hungry or unhappy. Her smile and infectious laugh lit up the room.

In her free time, she contributed to the Linus Project by making blankets for children who are ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. She had a unique way of touching the lives of those around her, always reminding them of her love with the simple words, I love you.

She had a special bond with her nieces, treating them to cherished afternoons of shopping, and steaks, their idea of an after-school snack. Always encouraging them to make good decisions.

Rebecca's warm presence drew people together, and her fun-loving demeanor shone brightest when she was surrounded by family and friends, particularly with her brother-in-law Johnny, who had a gift for making her laugh. Her favorite saying, "Love you," encapsulated her essence-she loved wholeheartedly and was deeply loved in return.

Rebecca leaves behind her beloved brother, Isidro (Cece) Gallegos; sisters Debbie (Johnny) Garcia, and Cindy (Doug) Kreie; her partner, Robert Revallion; several nieces and nephews; alongside a network of friends and family who will forever cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Natividad Gallegos; brother, Phil Gallegos; and sister, Rita Gallegos.

Memorial services will be held on February 8, 2025. A Rosary will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:30 AM.

She will be laid to rest during a graveside service at Holbrook Cemetery, starting at 11:45 AM.
