Ramon Ledezma Quezada died Monday, July 26, 2021, in Flagstaff, Arizona from complications of a fall. He was 75 years old. Ramon was born on Wednesday, August 1, 1945, in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico to his parents, the late Manuel Ledezma and Guadalupe Quezada.
Ramon married the love of his life, Delfina Villalpando, on June 7, 1962, in Mexico. They most recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Throughout their marriage, Ramon worked tirelessly to support his ever growing family. In 1977, they moved to Arizona to begin a new chapter in their lives, ultimately, making their home in Holbrook, Arizona. Ramon worked faithfully for the Holbrook School District for more than 20 years where his was a familiar and friendly face to students and faculty alike.
Ramon knew the value of hard work and taught his own children by example and, through the sweat of his own brow, the importance of making an honest living. He was a happy man who possessed a bright and cheerful disposition. Ramon was a Christian, in every sense of the word, and lived to serve his family, friends and community. He believed that when he was in their service, he was only in the service of his God. Ramon and Delfina served tirelessly in countless community events and always performed their work with a smile.
Ramon was a family man and always put his family first. He loved to take his family on camping trips and, if there was fishing involved, that was even better. Any fishing hole was his favorite fishing hole. Ramon blessed his family with countless happy memories that will remind them to keep smiling, even during the darkest of days.
Ramon is survived by his wife, Delfina Ledezma of Holbrook, AZ; 6 children: Jose (Ramona) Ledezma of Provo, UT, Cristina (Tony) Capone of Glendale, AZ, Fernando (Lupita) Ledezma of Casa Grande, AZ, Nancy Ledezma of Grand Junction, CO, Irma (Scott) Trillo of Loma, CO, Ramon (Sandra) Ledezma of Casa Grande, AZ; 2 half-brothers: Oscar Ledezma, Hector Ledezma; 4 half-sisters, Miriam Ledezma, Elizabeth Ledezma, Elva Ledezma, Judith Ledezma; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren with a great-granddaughter on the way. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Maximilian Trillo and 3 brothers: Juan Ledezma, Lico Ledezma and Jesse Ledezma.
The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 225 E. Arizona Ave in Holbrook, AZ where the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M.
