Paulette Ann Perkins

November 30, 1963 — March 1, 2019

Surrounded by her loving husband, daughters, sons-in-law, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews, Paulette Ann Perkins, 55, passed away on March 1, 2019, at Barrow's Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Born in Gardena, California, on November 30, 1963, to Anita and Stephen Dixon, Paulette spent her childhood in California, Show Low, and Kingman. It was while she was attending sixth grade in Show Low, Arizona, that she met her future husband, Carl Kay Perkins. Paulette and Carl married on June 14, 1986 at a ceremony in his parents' yard with Paulette making mole to celebrate the occasion. They made their home in Show Low and began their family two years later with the birth of their first daughter, Annie. When Annie was a year old, they moved into their home on Paloma Street. Their second daughter, Alyssa, was born in 1992. Paulette and Carl raised their girls in Show Low then moved to Ahwatukee in 2004.

Throughout her life, Paulette worked in the medical field as a CNA, in physical therapy, as a caretaker, and a phlebotomist. She would also pick up side work as a waitress or courier to earn extra money for family vacations and the prettiest outfits for her girls, making sure they always looked their best and had everything they wanted.

Spending time with her family, shopping, and vacations were some of her most favorite ways to spend her time. Once you got Paulette out and doing something she loved, no one could keep up with her endless energy.

Paulette was known for her loving heart, warm and welcoming spirit, her kind listening to those in need, amazing hugs, and her fun, childlike sense of humor. She was also an exceptional cook and loved to feed her family and friends, making sure to always have plenty of food on hand. If you came to Paulette's house, you didn't not eat her food – she wouldn't allow it. Most of all, she loved her family. Her husband and girls meant everything to her, and once her girls were grown, her love grew to encompass her sons-in-law and her grandchildren, Brayden Gauge, Leighton Greer, and Coraline Mae.

Paulette is survived by her husband, Carl; daughters: Anita Maria Craig (Jeremy) and Alyssa Michelle Hill (Alexander); grandchildren:  Brayden Gauge Hill, Leighton Greer Craig, and Coraline Mae Hill; mother, Anita Dixon; siblings: Dale Dixon, Corvina Pew (Clay), and Michael Dixon (Dawn); nieces and nephews: Virginia Callister, Heather McCarthy, Kirby Pew, Michael Dixon, Daniel Dixon, and Christina Dixon. She is preceded in death by her father, Stephen Dixon; sister, Debbie McCarthy; nephews: Jason McCarthy, Mitchel McCarthy, and Tyler Pew.

Services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 8, 2019, at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona. The family has requested that guests wear pink or pink accents, as this was Paulette's favorite color.
