Milton Ray Gonzales of Snowflake, Arizona died Sunday, September 12, 2021, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona from complications of a heart attack he suffered last month. He was 64 years old. Milton was born on Tuesday, July 2, 1957, in Holbrook, Arizona to his parents, Ramona (Armijo) and Melquiedes Louis "Mel" Gonzales, Sr.
He attended Homedale High School in Homedale, Idaho as well as Snowflake High School in Snowflake. He excelled in team sports, especially football and basketball. He also participated in track and field events and was quite the competitor. For many years, Milton worked as an insulation installer in the construction industry. Those who knew him would comment on how sweet and kind he was to others. It has been said of him that, "He would do anything for anyone." He loved bicycles. He built them, not only for family but, for many friends as well. He rode his bikes everywhere. The community will miss seeing him riding his bike throughout town.
Milton is survived by his parents, Mel and Ramona; 5 siblings: Mel Gonzales, Jr., Patricia, Charles Neal Gonzales, Judy Yocum, Christopher Gonzales; sons: Anthony Gonzales, Jason Gonzales; and his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Hubbard Gonzales in 2018.
Milton's family is thankful for the kindness of their community and is grateful for their prayers.
