Marty Bush

With heavy hearts filled with cherished memories, we announce the passing of Marty Bush, a beloved member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe, on June 22, 2024. Born in Whiteriver, AZ, on August 11, 1953, he was a man of few words but immense warmth and kindness.

Mr. Bush was a humble soul, known for his soft-spoken nature and love for his family, especially his wife Verna. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, bringing him immeasurable joy with each visit. Affectionately known by various nicknames like "Mutt," "Slick," and "Handsome," Marty was admired for his gentle spirit and unwavering love for his family.

In his youth, Marty discovered a passion for bull riding and the rodeo scene, displaying a remarkable courage and skill. He began working at the tender age of 13 and dedicated years of service to various roles at Fatco before finding fulfillment as a forklift operator at Sunrise Resort, where he worked diligently.

His dedication and love for his work were evident to all who knew him. Marty's kind heart and genuine nature endeared him to colleagues and visitors alike, making him a cherished presence on and off the job.

In his memory, a Home Wake will be held on July 10, 2024, at 10:00 am, providing an opportunity for loved ones to express their condolences and share their fondest memories of Marty.

As we prepare to bid farewell to this remarkable soul, we invite all who knew and loved Marty Bush to join us in honoring his life. A Graveside Service will be held on July 11, 2024, at his final resting place at the East Fork Cemetery, at 2:15 pm. Prior to this, a Funeral Service will take place at North Fork Miracle Church at 1:00 pm, where stories and memories of Marty will be shared to celebrate his life.

Though Marty's physical presence may be gone, his love, spirit, and impact on those around him will forever remain. Let us gather to celebrate his life, a life well-lived and rich in love, as we bid adieu to a cherished member of our community.
