Marilyn Jean Tapp Young, age 70 of Show Low, Arizona passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 13, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Luther Edward and Maxine (Brown) Tapp. Marilyn attended Skyline and Idaho Falls High School graduating with the class of ’69.
In 1973 she married David Young, she spent most of her adult life in Bakersfield, California. She was a housewife & stay-at-home mom, raising not only her children but half the neighborhood as well. She loved her children and those who lived around them. She was gifted at art and enjoyed painting windows for the holidays, she loved the beach, traveling, her swimming pool and spending time with family and friends. Marilyn also loved shopping, especially for others. She was always the life of the party and so much fun to be around. She will be missed tremendously.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 49 years, David Young; brother & sister-in-love, Bill & Beth Tapp; children, Brandi & Dave, Kore & Teri, Honoree son Brandon. Granddaughters, Amanda & Zoe; grandson, Wyatt Cole; nieces, Katrina & Carrie; nephew, Gabe; cousins, Christopher & Stacy Tapp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther E & Maxine Brown Tapp; sister, Marsha Egbert; nephew, Wesley Egbert; uncles, Jr. Tapp & Payton Tapp; aunt & uncle, Leela & Glen Manion; aunt, Betty Fay Schmitt and numerous family and friends.
