Marianne Leason Shaw

Marianne Leason Shaw, 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at the Payson Care Center on February 7, 2018. She was born on April 5, 1943, in South Bend, Indiana, the 4^th child of Leslie and Elma Leason. She was a loving wife & mother.

When she was young, her family moved to Mesa, AZ where they built a home and an automotive repair business known as “Speedy Auto”, in the far East Valley. She attended Mesa High School and performed as a “Rabbette” for the school drill team. She was also a member of the Beta Chi Chapter, Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, whose many charitable events included the Arizona Junior Miss Competition, along with the Jaycee Junior Rodeo. Her favorite hobbies included dance and later on, golf.

In 1995 she met and married Daniel V. Shaw. Shortly after, they moved to White Mountain Lake, AZ, where they were shareholders in a new golfing venture that would become Silver Creek Golf Club. Both were avid golfers and enjoyed participating in tournaments around the White Mountain communities.

 Sadly, Daniel preceded her in death on May 11, 2017.

She has one surviving daughter, Stacey Lynn Croy.

A private Life Celebration is planned for family and close friends.
