Madelyn Swenson

Madelyn Nellie Swenson, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on June 27, 1935, in Northbridge, Massachusetts, Madelyn lived a life full of love and devotion, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Madelyn was a gracious and caring homemaker, who poured her heart into nurturing her family. She was best known as "the best mom ever," never missing an occasion to celebrate with her children. Her playful spirit and unwavering support created countless cherished memories for her family, including her six children, Dale, Eric III, Dennis, Wendy, Tanya , and Shannon.

Family gatherings were a sacred tradition for Madelyn, and her love for cooking made every occasion special. Every Saturday, her loved ones would eagerly anticipate her signature Boston baked beans, and no family celebration felt complete without her famous homemade apple pie. Her passion for gardening and love of flowers brought beauty and joy to her home, reflecting the warmth she exuded in every aspect of her life.

Madelyn is survived by her brothers, Roger, Richard , and George , and her sister Carolyn , who were not only her siblings but also her lifelong friends. Together, they will carry forward her legacy of love and laughter.

A graveside service to honor Madelyn's life will be held on January 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM at 1265 Larson Rd, Lakeside, AZ. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the remarkable life of this extraordinary woman.

Madelyn Nellie Swenson's spirit will continue to live on through the love she shared with her family, the memories we hold dear, and the legacy of compassion she instilled in us all. She will be profoundly missed, but her gentle spirit will forever guide us.
