Lynn Louise Hartzell

July 10, 1952 — March 29, 2018

Lynn Louise Hartzell, 65, was born to Rentaus Henry and Violet Stuebs, on July 10, 1952 and was raised in the small town of Kewaunee, Wisconsin. After graduating from Manitowac Lutheran High School in 1970, she attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. There she was able to achieve one of her greatest accomplishments and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. Continuing to follow the Lords plan, she received an opportunity to share her wisdom and knowledge and inspire elementary and high school students at East Fork Mission School in Whiteriver, Arizona. It was here that she met the love of her life, Ralan James Hartzell. The two of them shared 42 years of love and laughter. Within those years of marriage they were blessed with four children: Tad Jeremy, born 1976. Aaron Andrew, born in 1977. Jamie Ralyn, born in 1979 & Jason Rentaus, born in 1984.   A teacher, a coach and a mother, Lynn dedicated her life to her husband, her children, her work, but most important her church. She was the leader of women’s group and Sunday school at church. One of Lynn’s passion was singing for the Lord. She orchestrated a singing group called Charity Gospel Singers. Being heavily involved with her church, Lynn also directed the choir, arranged the flowers for Sunday service as well as played the organ during numerous Sunday services. During her free time Lynn loved to mow the grass and took care of her garden. Later in her life she picked up yet another hobby in quilting. Like everything Lynn does, she put her heart and soul into quilting and her quilts reflect her hard work. In 2017 her body began to fail her, but like the person she is, Lynn mustered the strength and fought a courageous fight. Unfortunately that fight ended on March 29, 2018. Although her death leaves a heartache no one can heal, her love leaves a memory no one can steal. Lynnie (as known to most) will continue her passion and singing with the greatest choir of them all. The choir of the Heavenly angels. She leaves behind a husband, four children, eleven grandchildren, a brother (Rueben Stuebs) and a sister (Lois Selle).  Funeral services were held Monday, April 2nd at 2:00 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakeside, Arizona.
