Lonnie Faubion

Lonnie Roy Faubion of Taylor, Arizona peacefully passed away at his home in Taylor on May 12, 2021. He was 83. Lonnie was born on December 2, 1937 in Bassett, Rock County, Nebraska to his parents the late Roy and Nellie (Thomas) Faubion.

Lonnie lived in Western Washington where he was active in helping the local 4-H and FFA children. He was known for his horses and mules and was an avid and exceptional poetry writer having a few well-known poems published.

In 2006 he and his wife, Lorraine, moved to Taylor to be closer to family. Lonnie was a wonderful husband and father always putting others first and willing to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all those whom he dearly loved.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Faubion of Taylor; daughter, Dianna (Tyler) Faubion-Ballard of Taylor; son, Fred Lonald Schmalzl of Germany; grandchildren, Jaida, Kaylee, Jacob, Madison and Paisley; step-children, John Kenyon of Washington, Lisa Kenyon of Washington and James (Anna) Kenyon of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Hazel Vincent.
