Linda Jean (Wendlandt) McGuire of Show Low, Arizona peacefully passed away on December 9, 2019 at her home in Show Low. Linda was born on June 27, 1947 in Duluth, Minnesota to her parents the late, Louis George and Marion Matilda (Engel) Wendlandt.
Linda worked for FMC now BAE as a consultant. She attended Almeda College and University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science with a Major in Business Administration. She opened her own consulting business working with the United States Army and Marine Corps.
She was deeply devoted to her Lord and Savior and attended the United Methodist Church in Show Low where she was very active in various callings. She was most recently the Chairman of the Finance Committee there. She spent many hours crocheting blankets for a multitude of children, grandchildren and community members who were blessed to receive her works of art.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James McGuire of Show Low; daughters, LeighAnne Scherman (Kenneth) of Macomb Township, Michigan and Debra McGuire of Minneapolis, Minnesota; son, Scott Schwabe (Cristi) of Jacksonville, Alabama; grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, Maddie, McKenzie, Tonya and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Tristen, Emma and Noah; brother, Bruce Wendlandt (Judy) of Duluth, Minnesota as well as many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis George and Marion Wendlandt.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the United Methodist Church, 261 N 5th Street, Show Low.
In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted in Linda’s name to the White Mountain United Methodist Church beautification fund.
