Lilia Smith Seegmiller, 93, passed away April 30, 2018 in Lexington, Virginia. She was born on March 18, 1925 in Snowflake, Arizona to the late Jesse M. & Louie E. (Van Wagoner) Smith. After graduating from the University of Arizona she moved to New York City where she met her husband David W. Seegmiller. They are the parents of one son, Jesse F. Seegmiller. After many years in New York they moved to Thatcher, Arizona where she lived for 37 years. After becoming a widow, Lilia moved back to Snowflake and then spent the last few years in Virginia with her son.
Lilia was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she enjoyed serving in many capacities. She was also involved in many civic activities including heading the Miss Graham County Pageant, responsible for the entertainment at the Graham County Fair and President of the Woman's Club of Safford, Arizona.
Lilia is survived by her son, Jesse; daughter-in-law, Andrea A. Seegmiller; 4 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Snowflake Stake Center, 48 N. Main Street, Snowflake, Arizona, with a viewing one hour prior beginning at 11:00 A.M. Graveside services will follow at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake, Arizona.
