Lester Harrison Tonay

Lester Harrison Tonay, Sr. of Whiteriver, Arizona passed away on February 5, 2019 in Tucson, Arizona. He was 67. Lester was born on June 12, 1951 in Whiteriver, Arizona.

An avid outdoorsman, Lester loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed cutting wood for his family and friends. A quiet man, Lester will be deeply missed by all those whom he dearly loved.

He is survived by his children, Loren Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, Delvin Johnson, Sylvia Tonay, Lester Tonay, Jr. and Marlynda Nosie; 29 grandchilren; 14 great-grandchildren; mother, Wenonah Nosie; siblings, Baxter Tonay, Dallas (Bernie) Nosie, Cynthia Nosie, Delmer Nosie, Sr. and Wylene Nosie.

A two night wake will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 10, 2019 at the family home in East Fork. The funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Riverside Church in East Fork. Burial will follow in the Dove Street Cemetery in East Fork.
