Lawrence Allen LeSuer

Lawrence “Larry” Allen LeSuer, 82, passed away quietly in his sleep at home on Tuesday, July 31^th, 2018 in Show Low Arizona. 

Larry was born February 9, 1936 to Walter and Florence LeSuer of Finley Lake, NY. At an early age his family relocated to the town of North East Pennsylvania. Larry’s mother passed away when he was 6. Around the age of 10, Larry was being raised by “Brother H. Willard Gilpin” at Saint Barnabas House, he has many fond memories of living there. He was a North East Police Volunteer while working at St. Barnabas as a maintenance worker at the young age of 18.  In 1972 he moved to Tucson AZ to work in construction, before starting work for St. Mary’s hospital for 23 years, from which he retired.

Survivors includes his wife Wendy LeSuer, along with his 8 children, Lon LeSuer, Tracy Pfeiff, Babette George, Shawn LeSuer, Aaron LeSuer, Robin Long, Cody LeSuer, and Jessie Sutherland; his brother Gilbert LeSuer along with 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter Ernest LeSuer and Florence Eleanor Griffin LeSuer

On July 29, 1957, Larry married Joyce Anne Luhman with whom he had 5 children.  On April 26, 1978, he was married to Wendy Anderson LeSuer, a marriage which has lasted 40 years.   After adopting Wendy’s daughter Robin, they together adopted two other children, Cody and Jessie.

Larry enjoyed participating in Fast Pitch Softball, playing in several leagues, enjoyed golf, bowling and playing cards.  He always enjoyed going to the UofA football games and watching the Diamondbacks play ball.

A time of gathering will be held on September 1,  2018 at 1:00 at the New Life Bible Fellowship Church, 4900 W. Cortaro Farms Rd. Tucson, AZ 85742

Refreshments will be served after service

In lieu of flowers, Larry would like donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Program or the Shriners Organization
