Larry "Wes" Whipple, 58, passed away peacefully surrounded by Family in Scottsdale on Tuesday February 19th. Wes was born in McNary, Arizona.
Despite many challenges in life, he excelled at everything he did. He was never one to say “I can’t do that”. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He competed in many Special Olympics and was an excellent bowler, winning numerous trophies. He loved the ranch life and taking care of his animals and his Dad. His two favorite things to do were take a daily ride to the airport and check the cows in Woodruff, so he could then go see the trains in Holbrook. Wes worked at Safeway for many years as a Bagger. Wes lived in Coolidge, Prescott and Show Low.
Wes is preceded in death by his Mom, Barbara Stratton Whipple. Wes is survived by his Dad, Larry Whipple; sister Sandi (Ronnie) Braswell; brother, Brad E. Whipple; and nephew, Hunter Braswell.
Services will be held Saturday, March 2nd at the Show Low Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1401 West Deuce of Clubs, in Show Low at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be 1 hour prior at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to go to Arizona Special Olympics.
