Larry Dean Petty

Larry Dean Petty of Lakeside Arizona passed away on February 26, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was 70. Larry was born on September 10, 1948 in Shelton, Washington to Scandinavian/Italian parents, Leroy and Mary (Schaal) Petty.

Larry enlisted in the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam War and obtaining the rank of Chief before being honorably discharged. He was proud of his service during the Vietnam War and was even more proud to serve his country. He found his most joy during his time in the service while being stationed in the Philippines.

Larry loved to play pool, bowl, fishing and hunting. Many of the things we will miss are his quick wit and humor. He was a man of his word and loyal to those who he loved. He was self- sacrificing and humorous and was always in good spirits no matter what the situation, even throughout his illness.

A loving husband, father, sibling, uncle and friend he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Flemmings; son-in-law, Duane Flemmings; son, Jason Petty; grandson, Dontay Flemmings; granddaughters, Mariah Delorme, Deanna and DaLani Flemmings; nieces, Sheila Giles, Valarie Hayes, Shanden Templar; nephews, Chris Templar, Brent and Daniel Curry and Joe Petty as well as his beloved dog, Angel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Petty on December 15, 2017; son, Christopher Petty on August 17, 2018 and a sister, Kathy Petty on November 27, 2006.

He will be resting in peace alongside his wife, Margaret.
