Larry Paul Elwood

February 10, 1933 — July 27, 2004

Larry Paul Elwood, age 71, passed away July 27, 2004, in Show Low, Arizona. He was born in Wilmington, Delaware on February 10, 1933, where he lived until he was 7 years old. His parents were the late Francis and Helen (Adkins) Elwood. At age 7, his family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he lived for the next 58 years.

Following high school, Larry worked as a pretzel baker for Furfari Soft Pretzels. In March of 1953, Larry met Roberta Kirchner, they were engaged in April of 1954 and married in May of 1955. Following their marriage, Larry & Roberta worked together at Rebling Plastics. Then, in 1983, he went to work for Site Microsurgical where he worked until his retirement in 1993. He and Roberta made their home in Show Low in 1999. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Larry was survived by his wife, Roberta "Bert" Elwood of Show Low, AZ (who died October 5, 2022) sons: Steven Elwood of Philadelphia, PA, Larry Elwood, Jr. of Warminster, PA, and Kenneth Elwood of Huntington Valley, PA; one daughter, Barbara Grobelny of Show Low, AZ; 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service was held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 30, 2004, at Owens Livington Mortuary Chapel in Show Low. The visitation began at 9:30 that morning at Owens Mortuary.
