Kristen Dawn Sharp was born on March 2, 1968 in Phoenix, AZ. She unexpectedly passed away on March 29, 2022 at her home in Show Low, AZ.
Kristen spent the first 7 years of her life in Phoenix. When her father was transferred for his job, the family moved to Show Low, AZ. Kristen graduated from Show Low High School in 1986 and then continued her education in Flagstaff at Northern Arizona University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Journalism.
Kristen’s career brought her back to Show Low where she worked many years for the local newspaper, White Mountain Independent. She also held advertising jobs for a few of the local businesses, and was currently online with Zulily.
In addition to being the beloved first born daughter, she was also an amazing sister and aunt who often spoiled her nieces and nephews. Kristen had a big heart and was truly beautiful on the inside and the outside. She had a love for all genres of music, was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching movies. Kristen had a gift for writing and a fantastic eye for graphic design. Her sense of humor was off the charts, and she could make just about anyone laugh. She was an amazing cook and the queen of baking.
Kristen is survived by her father George Sharp, her brothers Eric (Dana Lumpkin), Chad (Caprice) her sister Heather (Ken) Douglass, 3 nieces and 2 nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marian Sharp Griffith, and brother Shawn Christopher.
Services will be held Friday, April 15th at 11:00 in Lakeside, AZ at Porter Mountain Fellowship Church.
