Keith Furbush

Keith Edward Furbush was born February 12, 1942, to the late Captain Edward C. Furbush and Shirley L. Rich Furbush, and passed away September 6, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Estelle F. Armstrong Furbush .

Survivors include: sister, Kristin Burch of Florida; Children, Brian Keith Furbush of Show Low, Lisa Kay Furbush of Vero Beach, Randolph "Randy" Scott Furbush of Show Low, Christopher "Furby" Micheal Furbush of Show Low; Grandchildren; Ashley Gilbert of Florida, Austin Furbush of Arizona, Amelia Furbush of Arizona, Caitlyn Furbush of Arizona, Claira Furbush of Arizona, Brianna Furbush of Arizona; two great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; many nephews, cousins, and aunts.

Keith was a loving father and husband with an exceptional IQ and a natural talent for understanding how things worked. He grew up assisting his father and family in building the Driftwood Floating "Showboat" Theater and even performed in some plays. He was very interested in Sci-Fi, relating to space and time travel, Westerns, and WWII. He spent time drawing intricate planes, spaceships, and floor plans for homes. He built detailed model cars and mini-homes as well. He spent many years in the auto body business and retired from Ulster County Boces as the maintenance supervisor. Keith was a one-of-a-kind man with an interesting sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
