It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Justin Williams on October 08, 2024. Justin peacefully went to sleep at home. Justin was born June 04, 1946 to Barker and Jane Velasquez-Williams.
Justin retired from Farm COOP - White Mountain Apache Tribe, after 40 plus years. He developed the Canyon Day Farm Land and its sprinkler system, presently known at Ndee Bikiyaa. After his retirement, he became a District IV Councilman for the White Mountain Apache Tribe. Justin was an outdoorsman and an avid hunter in his younger days. He was known as the "Jack of all trades" to his children and family. Others may have known him as, "Farmer." Justin loved Hawley Lake and he built a cabin there for his family in the late seventies, with the help of his father, father-in-law, and brothers.
Justin leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Evangeline DeClay-Williams; six children: Stoney/Kathy Eagle-Williams, Tony Troy Williams, Tyrone/Jessie Williams-Gushoney, Rodriquez Williams, Gumericindo/Joycelyn Williams-Hernandez, Jared/Joycee Williams-Kewenvoyouma; 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 13 God-children.
Justin's wake will be October 17 - 18, 2024. His body will be brought back to his residence in Northside Whiteriver (725 N. 2nd Ave), on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10 a.m. The funeral service will be at the Canyon Day Miracle Church on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 10 a.m., officiated by Pastor Gerald Tenijieth Sr. Burial will then follow at the new section of the Whiteriver Cemetery.
