Joseph Frank Assise of Show Low, Arizona passed away on April 20, 2019 at his home in Show Low. He was 65. Joseph was born on November 3, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to his parents the late, Frank and Juanita (Henniger) Assise.
Joseph was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army. During his time in Vietnam Joseph sustained injuries due to being shot which led to him being hospitalized to recover. Following his recovery he went back to Vietnam to serve. He was honorably discharged.
Joseph had a deep faith in his Lord and Savior. He was a man of God and loved his family. He served a mission for his church in the Dominican Republic prior to becoming a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married the love of his life, Flor de Maria Revoredo Palma Assise, in the Lima Peru Temple on September 30, 2005.
Family, religion and music was what Joseph’s life revolved around. He will be deeply missed by all those whom he dearly loved.
He is survived by his loving wife, Flor Assise; son, Jason; step-son, Jorge Rojas; sisters and brother-in-law, Antoinette and Alan Matta as well as 3 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Lou.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Show Low Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1401 W. Deuce of Clubs, Show Low with a visitation one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow in the Show Low Cemetery.
