Johnny Cris Breedlove, 80, passed to the other side, Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Show Low, Arizona. He was 80 years old. Johnny was born on a Tuesday, August 26, 1941, in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California to his parents, the late JC and Margaret Lorene (Cummins) Breedlove.
He had overcome many health challenges in the last several years. With the help of the wonderful health care providers from the Veterans Administration, he was able to stay with his family this long.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Kathy, twin daughters Tamara (Mark) Pew of Lehi Utah, and Kimberly (Terrol) Lunt of Duncan Arizona, a son, Christopher (Tracy) Breedlove Taylor, Arizona, 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way, 2 brothers Stan (Sharon) Breedlove of Phoenix and Ted (Deanna) Breedlove of Coolidge Arizona. He was predeceased by a son Loren, 2 sisters, Patty and Terry, a brother David, and his parents JC Breedlove and Lorene Oxford.
His hobby was reloading ammunition for his own use. He was very knowledgeable about guns and a "go to" person about them. With his wife, they worked at the Family History Center for the last 13 years. As difficult as it was for him to speak to a large group, he could talk at length to anyone one on one. He loved to speak "Donald Duck" to little children, which he had perfected through the years. He was a craftsman. He built their last home in the valley and their cabin in Overgaard.
His greatest joy was his family. He was able to retire early which allowed him and his wife to travel extensively. Because of his health they had to sell their travel trailer last year. He had a deep abiding love and faith in his Lord Jesus Christ. This belief sustains his family as they know Johnny is in his Savior's care.
