John Hartley Webb passed away May 9, 2022 at his home in Snowflake, Arizona. He was born July 11, 1941 in Winslow, Arizona to his parents, John Albert and Goldie Turley Webb.
He spent his early years, as the youngest of five, in Joseph City, until the family moved to Taylor. He graduated from Snowflake Union High School in 1959.
In 1965 he went dancing in Show Low, where his life would change forever. He met the love of his life, Shirley Stratton. Their first date was going to the Fourth of July rodeo in Heber and after that they were nearly inseparable. They were married November 15, 1965 in Snowflake. They were later sealed for time and eternity on January 26, 2002, in the Mesa Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; a day that they will always cherish and be thankful for. Hartley was forever grateful for the many blessings that came into his life, after he embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The things that Hartley enjoyed through the various stages of his life were, being outdoors, his horses, roping at his Uncle Linford Webb's and baking delicious pies and bread. Most of all he loved his family and time spent together.
Hartley is survived by his forever sweetheart, Shirley; sons, John Ryan (Sheila) and Randall Hartley (Monica); grandsons, Christopher (Ashley) Webb, Matt Smith, Jocelyn Fanning, Ian Fanning, Jose A. Verdugo (Meghan) and Shea Webb; great-granddaughters, Marcella and Camilla; brothers-in-law, Dan Stratton (Iris), Steve Stratton (Verlyn) and Larry Wagner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vancil; and sisters, Florence, Carma and Marilyn.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Owens Livingston Mortuary Heritage Chapel, 84 E 19th South, in Snowflake, Arizona.
