John Leo "Georgie" Romero 59, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2018. John was born December 11, 1958 in Holbrook, Arizona to the late Clarance and Louisa Romero. John lived most of his life in Snowflake. He was an employee for the Town of Taylor and took pride in serving the community of Taylor. One of his most recent endeavors was to plant Christmas trees in the newest section of the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery. His wife Stephanie was given the honor to select which tree to be buried by in this newest section.
John was a family man and family meant the world to him. The most important thing to him was spending time with his granddaughter Alexis "Poopie", teaching her life lessons, putting smiles on both of their faces. John enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, hiking and just being part of nature.
John was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and is survived by his wife Stephanie of 10 years, stepson Mike Mohoff, Stepdaughter Laurie Mohoff, 1 granddaughter Alexis Mohoff, his brother Clarance Romero, Jr., and sister Erlinda Romero.
A Viewing will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. with rosary following at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church, 1655 S. Main Street, Snowflake, Arizona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church with interment at the Reed Hatch Memorial Cemetery in Taylor, Arizona.
